Synopsis (from Goodreads): Tessa Gray should be happy—aren’t all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa’s heart, will do anything to save her.

My Thoughts: Clockwork Princess was just so amazing that I can’t even describe in words how much I loved it. But I’ll try anyways.

Some of the things that Tessa did were a bit dumb, but I understand that she has to do dumb things in order to put herself further in the conflict and move the plot forward. And the ending is really cool as well. I actually cried at the epilogue (not full on sobbing, but a few tears). I’m trying not to spoil anything, but know that the epilogue is kind of heartbreaking . . . but in a good way.

I really loved Cecily’s character, and Gabriel got much, much, better in this book, and I actually felt myself sympathizing with him at points whereas in previous books I abhorred him. Of course, I love Will, because, uh, William Herondale (*fanboys*). And Jem and Charlotte and Henry and Sophie and Gideon and I pretty much just love everyone.

Sorry that this review is kind of all over the place, it’s just hard for me to gather my thoughts because this book was just so good.

My Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5 Stars) ~ Clockwork Princess is a brilliant ending to a brilliant series.
