April 2015 TBR

Happy April! I honestly am unable to believe that three months of the year have already passed. Last month, a majority of the books that I read were disappointing. For this month, I’ve picked out four books that I am really excited about reading, and hopefully they won’t be disappointments like my March reads were. I’ve also included one book that I’ve started and want to finish this month.

1. Eleanor and park by rainbow rowell

I really enjoyed Fangirl by this author, and I’ve recently been in the mood to read some contemporary books, so I think that this will be good for me. I haven’t heard anything but good things about this, so I’m hoping that I’ll enjoy it.

2. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Steifvater

I haven’t read anything by this author yet, but I’ve heard good things about this book as well. It sounds interesting and like something that I would enjoy. Also, it’s a standalone fantasy, which is unique and exciting because I love fantasy but don’t always love the commitment of a series.

3. Gathering Darkness (Falling Kingdoms #3) by Morgan Rhodes

This is the third book in the Falling Kingdoms series, which isn’t my favorite series but it is definitely up there. I’m really excited to pick this up and see where the story goes. I’m expecting a lot of murder and deceit and treachery, which are my three favorite things.

4. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter #3) by J.K. Rowling

One of my plans for the year was to reread the Harry Potter series, and I’ve sort of been neglecting that goal. I haven’t read a Harry Potter book since January, so I figured it was about time to get back into it. I already know I’m going to love it, because I’ve already loved it, so at least I know one book this month won’t be a disappointment.

5. The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare

I’ve already started this book. I’ve read I think seven or eight of the stories, and I’m really loving them. I definitely want to continue with this book and finish reading it within the first part of the month, because I’m really enjoying it so far.

Well, those are the 4.3 books that I’m planning on reading this month. If I can read more, that would be amazing, but I don’t want to be too ambitious. If I do end up finishing all of these books then I’ll probably pick up either I Am The Mission or Sparks Rise.

Anyways, that’s all for today.

Aloha,
RJ

  1. I really enjoyed reading Eleanor & Park, it’s such a cute little story! Good luck with your HP series reread! I’m planning on rereading the seventh book myself this month…
